How to Send as Alias in Office 365 and Outlook?
To send an email from an alias in Microsoft 365, follow these steps:
- Log in to your Microsoft 365 account and open Outlook.
- Click on the “New Email” button to compose a new email.
- In the “From” field, click on the dropdown arrow and select “Other Email Address.”
- In the “From” field, type in the email address of the alias you want to use.
- If you want the recipient to reply to the alias email address instead of your primary email address, select the “Have replies sent to” checkbox and enter the alias email address.
- Compose your email as you normally would and click “Send” when you are ready.
Note that in order to send emails from an alias, you must have permission to do so. This can be set up by the Microsoft 365 administrator or the owner of the mailbox. Additionally, if you have multiple aliases, you can set up default email addresses for each alias so that outgoing emails are always sent from a specific address.
