How to restore Exchange 2010 / 2013 Database to Recovery Database

1. Launch the Arcserve Backup manager and Click on Quick start and select Restore Manager.

2. Select Restore by session / Restore by Tree and select the media which has the Exchange DB which needs to be restored.

3. Expand the session and Select the restore source as shown above.

4. Right click on the Database and select Agent option.

5. Check Restore to Recovery Databases and uncheck Automatically dismount destination databases and Allow destination databases to be overwritten.

6. Check Run recovery after restore and Mount database after restore so that the Recovery Database will be mounted after the restore.

7. Click on OK and select the destination as shows below.

8. Click on Submit and the pop-up will appear as shown below.

9. Select Create new Recovery Database and enter the name of the Recovery Database. If already an Recovery Database exist then select the existing Recovery Database and click on OK.

10. Submit the restore job and once completed the Database will be restore to Recovery Database.
