How to Restore Backup Mail From GroupWise to Outlook
Even though you cannot directly link the two programs, you can restore backup files from GroupWise to Outlook with a little work. By restoring your backup files, including mail messages, to Outlook, you ensure that you have a copy of your important business-related emails stored in another place. Once you have restored the mail messages, you can view them as usual within the program without having to download and install any other programs.
1. Launch Outlook, then click the “File” menu and choose “Open.”
2. Click “Import” in the main window to launch the Import/Export wizard, then select “Import from another program or file” and click “Next.”
3. Click “Comma Separated Values (Windows),” then click “Next.”
4. Click “Browse” and select the backup file for your GroupWise application.
5. Click “OK” and “Next.” Select the folder in which you want to store the imported messages from GroupWise.
6. Click “Finish” to restore the backed-up mail to Outlook.
