Inbox Repair Tool (ScanPST.exe)
It is a free utility which is provided by Microsoft to rectify such issues. It also helps users to repair corrupt PST file. You can follow below steps to use this tool.
Note: It is advised to keep a backup copy of PST file before run ScanPST.exe as there are a chances of losing PST data while performing repair process.
Step 1.
- To locate PST file, you need to go to the Control Panel, and click on Mail the
- Now click Show Profile, and select particular profile and click
- Click on Data File tab
- Here you can see a default PST file having check mark.
Step 2. To use ScanPST.exe
- Make sure Outlook should be closed.
- Open Inbox Repair Tool to begin the repair process.
- Now type the location of PST file in the Enter the name of the file you want to scan
- Now click on start
This way you can smoothly repair your PST file and fix above error.
