1. Download Windows Live Mail
2. Export Outlook Express to Windows live mail
3. Import Windows live mail to Outlook Express
Now, I will guide you how to complete the manual process.
Phase 1. Download Windows Live mail
The very first step of this technique is to download Windows live mail. So, install Windows live mail and on your system. Once you done the installation process you need to go to second phase
Phase 2: Export Outlook Express to Windows live mail
Step 1: Go to Start button and then go to Control Panel. Click on Appearances and Themes after thatclick on Folder options.
Step 2: In the Folder options. Go to View tab, after that under Hidden files and folder, check the Show files, folders and drives
Step 3: Now the next step is to locate the folder i.e. Outlook Express. In the Windows XP the folder is located in the below mention location.
C: Documents and settings\user\Local Setting\Application Data\ user identity number\ Microsoft\Outlook Express
Step 4: If you have located the folder then copy it to system having Windows 7,8, Vista.
Now follow the next step for further process, if you copied the folder completely
Step 1: Open Windows live mail, Go to Start>>All Programs>> Windows Live Mail
Step 2: Go tofile menu and then click on import messages
Step 3: Now Windows live mail Import wizard will appear, Now you need to select Microsoft Outlook Express 6 and click Next
Step 4: Here the import mails from an Outlook express 6 store directory box is selected by default. If not selected, then select it.
Now click on the browse option to select the folder which you have copied earlier and. Click Next after selecting
Step 5: Here select the messages folder which you want to import to Outlook Express. You can select all folder and Some selected folder, there is both options available. After selecting the folder Click Next
Step 6: The importing process is conducted on your system, Wait for a while until it successfully completed.
Step 7: You will receive a window that importing process completed successfully. Then click Next
Phase 3: Import Windows live mail to MS Outlook
As this is the last phase of the manual technique. In which all your exported data which you have imported earlier (Outlook express to Windows live mail) will moved to MS Outlook from Windows live mail. Now follows these step to complete the conversion.
Step 1: Open Microsoft Outlook, At the same time launch Windows live mail.
Step 2: In the Windows live mail go to File>>Export email and then select Export messages
Step 3: Now select the format you want to export, Here select Exchange Server>> Next
Step 4: When you will click on next, a window will appear with the message ‘This will import messages from Windows live mail to MS Outlook or Microsoft exchange’ Then click Ok to continue
Step 5: Now you can export all email folders or selected folder. Select the folder by Select folders option.
Step 6: Click Ok after selecting the desired option
Now the export process will start, you have to wait once it completed.
Step 7: After the completion of the process, you get a message Export completed. Click Finish
